Who are you observing

You will be under the supervision of a highly regarded physician educator who holds the following credentials:

  • Assistant professor of Medicine, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

  • Interventional Cardiologist and Critical Care Specialist.

  • Board-certified in American Board of Internal Medicine with a subspeciality in cardiovascular disease.

  • Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and American College of Physicians

  • Expert recommended Cardiologist in Baltimore, MD

  • “3 Best Cardiologist” in Baltimore, MD

  • Affiliated with MedStar Union Memorial Hospital, Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, University of Maryland Medical Center and Johns Hopkins University.

Is this the right rotation for you?

  • 4 weeks outpatient rotations.

  • Take patient history, perform physical exams under supervision and present patient cases.

  • Write progress notes.

  • Learning up-to-date Cardiology diagnosis and treatment.

How to obtain a LoR?

  • Upon completion of 4 weeks of rotation, individuals can request a LoR toward the end of the rotation. LoR is given based on performance, once agreed upon , the preceptor will compose a LoR that meets ERAS and residency program requirements.

Required documentations

  • Passport and US Visa (if applicable).

  • Medical school diploma or letter of good standing if medical student.

  • USMLE scores (actual document, not scores in an e-mail) if applicable.

  • Proof of health insurance.

  • Malpractice insurance.

  • Immunization record:

    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR): Provide MMR immunizations (2 doses) or positive titer results as proof of immunity.

    • Varicella: Provide proof of immunization or positive titer results as proof of immunity.

    • Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap): Proof of current booster of Tetanus and Diphtheria (valid for 10 years).

    • Hepatitis B: Provide Hepatitis B immunizations (3 doses) or positive titer results as proof of immunity.

    • TB test: Proof of a negative TB test within the last year. This can be a PPD or blood test. Those with a positive PPD are required to submit a negative chest x-ray within the last year.

    • COVID-19 Vaccine: Must have at least completed 2 doses.

    • Influenza Vaccine: Required if participating in rotations between September 1st and May 1st.
